Real Numbers

So here is an analysis of the economics of an indy movie budgeted at a million pounds.

These numbers look real to me. And note that relatively speaking this is a freaking success story. The short answer is that it cost $1.3 million and of that it lost $700K.

  1. I suggest you leave those numbers out of your investor's prospectus. :)

  2. I could shoot so many features for 1.3 million pounds. On 35mm. Heck, might as well go anamorphic 35 with that kind of money.

My lawyer says we have to protect ourselves: note that we're constantly developing screenplays, we probably have a screenplay like what you suggest in development. Furthermore, if you suggest an idea for a screenplay you're giving us that idea.
