Watchmen does work as a ...But Mr. Martell is wrong. <I>Watchmen</I> <B>does</B> work as a movie. It's just not necessarily a single protagonist "hero's journey" kind of movie. It is obviously influenced by <I>Dr. Strangelove</I>, another movie with several lead characters.<BR/><BR/>Though, I'll admit, Snyder was a bit too married to the source in a few places. Some of the dialog from the comic doesn't work when spoken. Then again, some of it works even better aloud.<BR/><BR/>I would love to see a <I>Watchmen</I> DVD with isolated music, dialog, and effects tracks. Then we could all create our own cuts of the movie.
