Schaden
Oh man, I just had a really wicked laugh over the following conversation I had with redacted. It's about an art house project they're talking with someone about producing. Some facts have been altered to protect the guilty.
Me: "What's this project you're working on?" They: "Troilus and Cressida. In Yiddish." Me: "Yiddish? Well, at least you don't have to worry about making DM&E's." They: "I don't think you have to worry about making deliverables at all."
My lawyer says we have to protect ourselves: note that we're constantly developing screenplays, we probably have a screenplay like what you suggest in development. Furthermore, if you suggest an idea for a screenplay you're giving us that idea.
