I went to the "Wall of Sound" performance here in Quebec City.

What the concert really was is this: a Scala concert with special guest artists (whom I presume were Quebecois minor rock/pop stars.) They did do Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters". There were fireworks, a 300 piece orchestra and backup chorus. Video projection. And fireworks, did I mention them?

A fairly brilliant performance. And the sound was excellent. Were they all close-mic'ed? Surely not. But maybe. The French-language rap songs at the end were... regrettable. But French rap always is.
