Too Old to Play with Dollys

Everybody's been talking me out of a dolly. I would love a Fisher 10 or 11 and a full-time dolly grip. Then I got talked down to a Matthews doorway dolly, and now I've been talked down to a slider. Sigh.
One day. One day I'll have a Fisher with a jib and a dolly grip. One day.

    I got one of those cheapo dollys you put on pvc pipe. Have had it for years. Works decent. The guy who shot GOH with the red had a nice full size, not sure if it was a Fisher or Matthews, but it was cool. But a slider doesn't really do the job a dolly does...unless you've found an 8foot slider?

    Yeah, we have one of those PVC dollys too. I suspect my big problem is doing pushes and that's mostly a focus issue.

    Real dolly = real dolly grip PLUS a focus puller. Ain't nobody got money for all those people.

My lawyer says we have to protect ourselves: note that we're constantly developing screenplays, we probably have a screenplay like what you suggest in development. Furthermore, if you suggest an idea for a screenplay you're giving us that idea.
