The dolly is exceptionally well machined. I haven't put it on rails but within a couple minutes of opening the box I was able to do this with my iPod Touch (yep, I made some tall video. Get over it.)
I have all sorts of plans in mind for the dragon movie and this dolly.

Looks like a pico dolly. Looks so close it seems like someone ought to get sued over it...
