War Crimes

I don't typically publish anything about politics here. But I'm opposed to the use of cluster bombs in civilian areas.

Hillary Clinton isn't.

She voted against this amendment to a Pentagon appropriations bill:

Sec. 8109. No funds appropriated or otherwise made available by this Act my [sic] be obligated or expended to acquire, utilize, sell, or transfer any cluster munition unless the rules of engagement applicable to the cluster munition ensure that the cluster munition will not be used in or near any concentrated population of civilians, whether permanent or temporary, including inhabited parts of cities or villages, camps or columns of refugees or evacuees, or camps or groups of nomads.
Really? We shouldn't bother to ensure that they not be used in or near concentrated population(s) of civilians?

Really?

Now, we all know that the use of these weapons against civilians is a war crime, right?

Of course, Clinton wants to keep the option of first-strike nuclear weapons on the table.

I can't even think about it.1

I should post a picture of an amusing cat or something.

1. Obama voted in favor of the ban. He's also publicly said that the potential use of nuclear weapons should be "off the table".
