Brilliance

OMG, this is brilliant. This is 15 minutes of a 55 minute Star Wars made on Super-8 by fans in 1977.

"Silent City" is a 7-minute short about Marines from the future. I like their armor.

There's even a "making of" video of it:

Ah, The Silent City. I worked with Ruairi on his previous short, the Oscar nominated Fifty Percent Grey (http://www.ruairirobinson.com/fiftypercentgrey.htm). I feel fairly confident I would have been asked to sound design this had I remained in Ireland. He's now apparently going to direct the live action remake of Akira.

I haven't been in touch with Ruairi for a couple of years. It's surprising to see him turn up on your blog!

That's interesting. I wonder how that Akira is going?

(I'm just hoping to direct the remake of Logan's Run and the live-action Ghost in the Shell...)
