Hit a wall running

Today we had a big, big, day. You can tell the scale of the set in some of these pictures from day... what? Four? Of Earthkiller.

Recognizable figures in this first image are Alana Jackler as Hywell, and Robin Kurtz as Helen, in Earthkiller. This shot is taken from within the air lock.

Our start today was not a world of auspicious. Not one, but two actors were late to set because one of them (I won't name names but his initials are Tom Rowen) asked another one (whom I will similarly keep anonymous by using the pseudonym "Maduka Steady") what the call was and was told 11am rather than 9am.

We made them fight a death cage match against one another for our amusement.

The Queen of Mars slates while Maduka Steady, Nat Cassidy, and Alaina Hammond get ready.

We had over 10 pages to shoot today, with our largest cast. I think we had like 9 in the cast plus six more zombies. Oh, and there's a huge fight with people thrown out of the airlock.

This is the outside of the airlock under construction.

Michael Chmiel and Anthony Litton, zombies about to be blown into space.

Robin Kurtz and Katie Hannigan inside the Maintenance Section.

We shot it all. We got all our pages even though another actor had to be wrapped early and we had this big fight in the middle. Whew, it was a lot of work.

At the end of the day, David Frey took a look at me and said "You hit a wall running?" And yeah. I am tired.
