I think there's at least a 3 to 1 ratio of how many visual effects shots you think you need to complete a movie compared to how many you actually need. It may be 5 to 1. Hell, it's probably more like 10 to 1 but now I really don't want to think about it.

Thoughts. A monster would be more commercial than giant robots. Even a modified T-Rex might work.

David Ian Lee and I discussed the screenplay to Day 2. We figured out how to intersect the A and B stories and make the love story work for the A story. It's funny how just a few very simple changes in dialog can have an enormous impact on the story.
